Green Planet Films Filmmaking Workshops
Empowering Voices Through Documentary Storytelling
Green Planet Films offers hands-on Filmmaking Workshops designed to spark creativity, build storytelling skills, and encourage self-expression. Led by accomplished local documentary filmmakers, our workshops are tailored for students and adults, and hosted in collaboration with nonprofits, museums, schools, libraries, and senior living communities.
Each participant creates a short documentary—from concept to final cut—using iPads provided by Green Planet Films. These workshops provide a supportive, collaborative environment where participants learn the fundamentals of filmmaking, including:
-
Pre-production (story planning, scripting, and storyboarding)
-
Production (filming techniques, sound, and interviewing)
-
Post-production (editing and sharing their work)
Whether offered as a weekend intensive or a multi-week series, each workshop is custom-designed to align with the goals of the hosting organization, celebrate community strengths, and provide a meaningful creative experience.
