Newsflash! We are thrilled to announce that Green Planet Films has received a Supporting Arts Grant from the State of Connecticut for $2,663! We look forward to putting this money to work growing our film education programs and distribution work. 2026 is going to be another great year at Green Planet Films.

GPF Presents Filmmaking Workshop with Block Island's Island Free Library with Support from the Nature Conservancy
Green Planet Films' staff Chris Kepple and Drew Rodgers headed out to Block Island for a three day filmmaking workshop on the topic of conservation. The Island Free Library provided the space and funding with a special grant from the Friends of the Library. Participants interviewed Kim Gaffett. Gaffett is a Naturalist whose official title is the OVF Naturalist Perch. Gaffett provided her expertise on Block Island's conservation efforts and a close in look at bird banding and the work she does to monitor and protect birds.
