GPF Presents Filmmaking Workshop with Block Island's Island Free Library with Support from the Nature Conservancy

Green Planet Films' staff Chris Kepple and Drew Rodgers headed out to Block Island for a three day filmmaking workshop on the topic of conservation. The Island Free Library provided the space and funding with a special grant from the Friends of the Library.  Participants interviewed Kim Gaffett. Gaffett is a Naturalist whose official title is the OVF Naturalist Perch. Gaffett provided her expertise on Block Island's conservation efforts and a close in look at bird banding and the work she does to monitor and protect birds. Workshop students visited the Ocean View Pavillion Park and saw bird banding gear up close and met some of the Nature Conservancy's summer volunteers. Thanks to the BI Free Library for welcoming Green Planet FIlms to the Island for this exciting project.
