Volunteer HEADING_TITLE

Volunteers Needed!  We are currently looking for an Volunteer Coordinator to help us manage our great volunteers.  You would be the point person for our volunteers as they assist us with film nights, order fulfillment and other tasks.  Our volunteers are great to work with and are local Bay Area residents and college students.  Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.

If you are an accountant with a strong interest assisting the non profit sector, and believe environmental education is crucial to understanding issues facing our natural world and subsequent solutions to leading more sustainable lives and business practices... this could be a rewarding opportunity for you.

Our office is located in San Francisco's financial district.  Our priority for 2010 is to transition to streaming video. Join us as we grow!

Skills
Prior experience as a CPA with nonprofit accounting is preferred.
Experience with accounting for 501 C(3) non-profits is desired.
Finance and Tax guidance is needed for the organization.
Understanding of ecommerce.
    * Is a CPA/accountant
    * Understand financial accounting for nonprofit organizations
    * Skilled in Quickbooks Nonprofit Desktop Version
    * Prepare and submit Form 990
    * Prepare and submit quarterly taxes
    * Serve as the chair of the finance committee
    * Ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the board on a timely basis
    * Present the annual budget to the board for approval
    * Technical minded:   (the Quickbooks and QBI interface requires someone who can troubleshoot)
    * Available 10 hours a month
    * Attend all board meetings
    * Maintain knowledge of the organization and personal commitment to its goals and objectives

Green Planet Films is a non-profit distributor of Nature and Environmental films. Our mission is promoting environmental education through film. Our daily operations are run by a team of dymanic volunteers who have a passion for these films and support environmental education.

We are always looking for like-minded individuals to pitch in! If you have some time to roll up your sleeves, we always have some fun and interesting projects that need additional support.
